They do take a while, I wish they came out faster, I really do, we’re trying as hard as we can, but we want them to be as best as they can be for everybody.
Fallout 3 och 4, som båda utvecklades av Bethesdas huvudstudio, släpptes med sju års mellanrum. Mellan Elder Scrolls 4 och 5 gick det fem år. Hittills har det gått elva år sedan släppet av Elder Sc
Fallout 5 is the upcoming entry to Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG series. While its release might be far off, it is surely the holy grail for fans who want more of nuclear wasteland and super mutants.
With Starfield’s release out of the way, The Elder Scrolls 6 is Bethesda’s next project on the horizon. Of course, there will be DLCs for Starfield dropping in between (Shattered Space being the first of them). However, we can take an educated guess that Bethesda will start talking more about Fallout 5 after The Elder Scrolls 6’s release, which itself is years away.
While Bethesda has been tight-lipped about future projects, more so about Fallout 5, we have collated all the information about the hotly-anticipated game in this article.

When Was Fallout 5 Officially Announced?
In an interview with IGN in , Todd Howard mentioned Fallout 5 to be one of the future projects at Bethesda. It is the same interview where it was confirmed that Fallout 5 will follow The Elder Scrolls 6 as part of Bethesda’s pipeline in terms of their full game releases post-Starfield.
Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that
Fallout 5 confirmed, just don't expect it anytime soon
Bethesda boss Todd Howard has confirmed that Fallout 5 is in the game maker's plans.
However, he's also said that it's in a queue behind Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6, so it could still be years before we see anything tangible from the Xbox-owned studio.
Indeed, Fallout 5 is just a single-sheet concept right now: "We have a one-pager on Fallout 5, what we want to do," said Howard on IGN's latest podcast.
The Bethesda director also ruled out given it to an external developer to speed up production: "I don’t see… Look, Fallout’s really part of our DNA here," he said.
"I’d like to find a way to accelerate what we do, but I can’t really say today, or commit to anything, what’s going to happen when, other to say that our cadence is Starfield and then Elder Scrolls 6."
Starfield is currently scheduled for release in November , while Elder Scrolls 6 is seen as a long way off yet. Both games will be Xbox exclusives (with a release on Windows PC too), so it's more than likely that Fallout 5 will be too.
That being said, by the time it is anywhere near being released, who knows if the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 will still be the c
Fallout 5's release date is a very, very long way off, we're afraid
Fans of Fallout may want to close their ears (and eyes) as Bethesda has revealed it will be many years until Fallout 5 will be released due to the studio’s current work on The Elder Scrolls 6.
With Fallout 4 quickly approaching its year anniversary, fans are eager for the next instalment to make an appearance. Despite Fallout 76 holding the fort in recent years, there is nothing quite like a main Fallout instalment but it seems as though it may be a while until we get it.

This is as a result of Bethesda both hard at work making Starfielda viable title long-term and also working on The Elder Scrolls 6which only entered into full development back in August Due to the studio’s diverted attention, Fallout 5 has taken a backseat according to Todd Howard himself.
In a conversation in July this year, Bethesda executive Howard discussed the studio’s plans going forward.
Howard said: "Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a w
Fallout 5: Everything we know so far, and what we hope to see
Fallout 5 is officially happening, but it'll be quite some time before we see the next irradiated world come to life.
